British Gas Smart Meters no longer working with IHD or online
Hi
I had smart meters installed mid-April (L&G E470 and G470) and the IHD worked fine for about a couple of weeks. Then it reported "Waiting for data". My online account had only seen one initial meter reading for gas and none for elec (save for a 0000 entry). The BG app reported "Loading. We're almost there. ..". BG said to wait for 5 working days but of course nothing changed.
After several weeks I logged a complaint. Several cancelled appointments later I was nervous about not receiving any monthly billing, so eventually managed to get them to take my manual meter readings (this website capability seems to be removed when you have smart meters installed).
I then tried the Bright app which seemed to accept my IHD's EUI but it still at "We are
now getting your app up and running" after a few days so it seems they
are affected too.
The BG IHD reports Status 28-1 for Elec (meter connected but not receiving all data) and Gas 29-2 (similar explanation).
Does anyone know what is actually going on? I'm not at all confident that BG seem to know!

Not much help but I'm having the same problems. Display showing anything from 4p to £40000 when the gas is off and 0p when its on. And no data being received at other times.Expecting an engineer visit next week to try and fix it. I asked BG if they were getting correct readings and they claimed they were and couldn't see £40000. Im not convinced and want to submit readings but they wouldn't let me.
