This might be one for any smart installers out there.
Where a smart electric meter is to be fitted and there is no main isolator after the DNO service fuse, is it routine to pull the fuse and fit an isolator as part of the meter install ?

However the meter installers do appear to have a degree of discretion. My installer fitted one - he said it was because my tails were slightly undersized (not to a dangerous degree) and it would help me of I needed to replace them in the future.I was also prepared to ask him to fit an isolation switch that I had previously purchased for this purpose but it wasn't required.N.
