Morning al. I have been both very busy and very slothful over the last few days. I started doing the outfit yesterday for the mad hatter and have made the massive !!!!!! bow and attached it to the shirt. Today I start the sleeves. I've also promised myself some future jobs, moving the stones from the front garden to the back and vice versa in a nod to future excercise and I have a cake t make this week for OHs dads birthday on Friday. I've also been sorting out various things to do with the car and stuff I will need, like breathalysers etc. And there is paperwork to be gone through, never one of my favourite jobs.TA, glad to hear they're ok after the accident and yeah, insurance companies never the fastest...And I put the heating on for an hour yesterday, I was so cold! Maddie, get well soon, it's not pleasant is it...Gers, such a beautifulspot for your tribute...Sorry I've no doubt missed stuff, but hope your all doing as well as you can...Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi12

Morning all,
Fairly bright here for our silver wedding anniversary today. We are off for a late lunch with DMum and DSis after dropping DS2 for his Maths A level at 1.30pm. I have a wash load on and another to do before we head out later.
Dinner will be a light dish of kedgeree as we still need to feed DD and DS2 later even though we might not fancy much ourselves.
Have a good day all

Morning all, sorry to have been MIA but I have been quite poorly again, well we both have and it didn't help that I caught DGS's stinking cold, via Mr Fix It and I ended up with bronchitis too, anyway hopefully I am on the mend now, but I'll have to take things slowly and not be a bull in a china shop. Luckily I did finish the decorating and get the flooring down but I now our bedroom needs a lick of paint, so that's the next room I need to tackle when I able.
Today I have put the wm on as the washing basket is overflowing, I hope to hang it out if I can find the whirly because the grass is so high, the garden has gone bonkers in my absence ! My freezer is rather empty so I'll tidy it up today and make a list of items that are needed and then do the same with my store cupboard ready to make a sm online order. Sadly our eating habits have taken a turn for the worse lately, sometimes our meal consisted of a sandwich, so I must remedy that. I really need some fresh fruit and veg because all that's left is a sprouting onion and a sad looking satsuma and don't think I can make much from those 😁
Take care all, stay well.

Sorry have just read today's posts and realised that Maddie is poorly and TA's DD has had a car accident.
Maddie I hope your symptoms are mild.
TA I'm glad that your DD and DGC are ok. Hopefully the insurance will sort out the car quickly, we've had a text to say that ours is now due back on the 14th, they've only had it 9 weeks ! ( they told us it would take about 2 weeks in total 🙄 ) I'll be glad to get it back too as I don't find the courtesy car very comfortable even though it's a new SUV.
Right wm has finished so I'll hang it out.

Maddie, yes he did. He rang the 24 hr emergency line which is manned by a nurse, then they referred him to the antibody service who rang a couple of hours later and they referred him to the local hospital (not his treatment hospital) who got him in straight away. I think he rang his hospital at about 10 in the morning and by 4 he had been treated and was on his way home. He was given the choice of a one off infusion in hospital or tablets for 5 days and he chose the infusion. He felt relatively fine on that day but over the next couple of weeks was pretty ill so I'm glad he got the treatment or I think he would have been hospitalised.
We had a bit of a mission getting Esben off to nursery after a week off. Apparently he went in happily enough but he didn't want to leave the house. I have mountains of washing to do and I want to get a new washing line this afternoon when Steve gets back from golf. The car wasn't picked up until after 5 yesterday afternoon, the garage had forgotten so I'm not holding my breath as to the speed of it being returned. The courtesy car is an automatic BMW so I'm feeling a bit anxious about driving it.
TA, I hope DD gets things sorted fairly quickly, good luck at the vets.
Camelot, that's shocking, what age are the children?
Have a good day.14 -
After finishing my interrupted post I see others have posted and I missed some news.
Happy Anniversary Coxy.
Sorry you have been ill Nanny, I hope you continue to improve.13 -
Lovely to see you back Nan - I hope that you both feel better soon, but please take it easy. It won't matter if things don't get done. My fingers are still crossed for your car coming back.Taff - is the mad hatters outfit for a party? Or should I be scared to ask?
Coxy - Happy Silver Anniversary to you and Mr Coxy. Enjoy your celebratory lunch.Snoozer - my new car is an automatic and, despite my fears about driving it I'd be hard pushed to go back to manual, and I loved using gears. This one is so much smoother and easier. You'll be fine after a few turns round the streets.11 -
@nannywindow lovely to see you back too, glad you're better..@Gers it's for a friend who is going to a festival
her outfit is very flamboyant so I need to up my game for the jacket..

Happy anniversary for the Coxy's, hope you had a lovely lunch. Nice to have you back NAN but sorry you have both been unwell. Take it easy. It was beautiful here for a few hours before and after lunchtime, I just sat out on the seat doing nothing other than enjoying the sunshine. It's been in very short supply this summer. We are now back to the usual cloud cover but the sun was lovely whilst it lasted!! xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"8

Afternoon all. We've been treated to beautiful sunshine today and when I went out to the bins it was warmer outside than it was in the house! It's clouded over now, no doubt getting ready for the forecast rain tonight which is supposed to be quite heavy.
I didn't need to re-tune the TV last night after all, it was as good as gold, so I'm putting it down to interference from air pressure.
Today's usual house-y jobs have been done plus I've given DH his monthly hair cut. Mine is due for a tidy up next week and I can't wait. I'm trying 8 weeks between appointments instead of 6 - budget cutting exercise - but I'm still to be convinced it's a good idea as my hair grows so quickly. It might help if I could master the art of blow drying!
Two hands aren't enough and it makes my arms ache too.
Tea tonight is a tuna & mushroom pasta dish to use up a couple of sad wrinkly mushrooms and a bit of onion in the fridge. I'll throw in some red pepper and peas to make it look a bit more presentable. I've also sliced and frozen half of each of the tea loaves I made yesterday, otherwise they won't last two minutes.
Sympathies with those having problems with cars or lack of - not to mention the price of fuel. We've never had one so, for us, it's a case of not missing what you've never had but I can see why people need one these days and how inconvenient it must be.Not a good idea to power wash your toes, camelot! That children’s picnic lunch doesn’t sound like value for money, does it? Good for you, putting in a complaint.
Hope Sparkle behaves today, TA.
I know what you mean about making the room of doom worse, Gers. I ventured into mine the other day and have sorted things into boxes so it does look a bit better, but now the boxes are waiting for me to go through them and decide on keep/recycle/bin. I might have to force myself to do one per day!
Happy Anniversary, Coxy.
Sorry to hear you’ve both been unwell, nanny. Take it easy - you need to recover first before tackling too much.
Hugs where needed, stay safe and well. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.8
