Live Planning Enforcement Notice - current owner prosecuted and still not complied

    I suspect that the mortgage lender will be looking at this kind of risk...
    • You buy the house
    • You don't do the work on the wall
    • You don't pay the mortgage
    • The lender has to repossess
    • The lender has to sell the property
    If the lender repossess - I don't know if that makes them responsible for dealing with the enforcement notice, and subject to prosecution if they don't.

    And/or they might end up with a property which is very difficult to sell because of an outstanding enforcement notice.


    As above, lenders don't seem to accept even the slightest risk of enforcement action without indemnity insurance. So it's very unlikely they'd lend on a property where enforcement action has actually started.
