BG not switching after choosing tariff!

Is anyone else having a problem with BG not following through on switching your tariff once instructed?
After reading the forum for guidance I switched on 16th May, email acknowledgement came immediately. Then nothing!
Went on a BG site and app a few times and it told me I was in process of switching, but still nothing and still showing me I was on People's Energy tariff.
Went back on last week, site allowed me to select again, email came in acknowledging, but a week later still nothing happening.
Trying to get in contact with them is a joke, even the bot line doesn't want to know!
Any one else similarly affected, or managed to force BG to do something?

Take some screen shots and save emails about the fix you have chosen just incase.

However I presume the fix rates are higher than the standard variable rates so you are in fact saving money if it takes them a little time?

Yes, beneficial until the end of June, but worrying that nothing happening and end up being left with higher tariff choices.
BG just not coping with numbers of customers now??

I've found contacting them on Twitter to be the best option. They might take a couple of days to get back to you but once they do, they're usually pretty competent.

This happend to me last year. I was offered a new fixed 12 month deal around end of September, having moved to BG from PFP who went bust. The deal was offered on chat and I took photos of the chat at the time. I contacted them several times over the following weeks and each time was told it was in hand and just waiting for the system to update. Finally after escallating the complaint and speaking with loads of different consultants they finally explained that the deal I was offered back then was no longer showing as an active deal. This was what I was worried about. This was around the time of the price hike in Oct 21.

I pushed and pushed and even offered a solution of going on the SVT but get BG to credit my account with a  £ sum to counter act against the increase in the rates compared to the fix I was offered. They soon managed to get it sorted and move me to the fix I was originally offered. It was such a stress.
