How many times have you actually spoken to the mother. Once isn’t enough. I’d be keeping going round there. You also haven’t mentioned the father. Does he live at the address and if she have you tried talking to him?All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
I agree with elsien, above. I would give the mother all the harassment you're getting. Go round there and knock on her door. Tell her you've had enough. She'll soon get fed up and hopefully do something. It seems that she's happiest when her kids are out of sight out of mind. You just have to remind her that she has kids and that they are a blinkin' nuisance. If there is a father, he needs to be included, too.
I also wouldn't answer the door. Let them knock, ring bells, whatever.
Also, when children are too young to be tackled about harassment, etc., parents can be charged for allowing their children to cause a nuisance.
If they do cause any damage to any of your property then that also will be for the parent/s to deal with. Please note - taken from the Forum Rules and amended for my own personal use (with thanks) : It is up to you to investigate, check, double-check and check yet again before you make any decisions or take any action based on any information you glean from any of my posts. Could you install a video doorbell? That way you can see who is at the door without having to get up.Find out who you are and do that on purpose (thanks to Owain Wyn Jones quoting Dolly Parton)2

I think she is single parent so probably just want the kids out her hair.2 -

I'm hoping to avoid bringing in the authorities just want her to watch her kids ATM.
I have already had my letter box broken by all the knocking thankfully I repaired it.
I'm sure if any damage was done that needed professionally fixed I wouldn't get a penny, the poor kids don't have a decent set of clothes or shoes they have holes in them, and the one child said to me they don't have no money when I said get your mom to get your own bikes 😔1 -
You could always look for a couple of cheap second hand bikes for the children next door. Might be the easiest way to solve the problem.
But if one is at least 7, surely rather are at school 6 hours a day?Make £2023 in 2023 (#36) £3479.30/£2023

Could you do a Facebook post asking of anyone is giving away a free bike that these kids could have?
It solves the problem for everyone, primarily the children.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

I’m a single mother myself and would never allow my child to act this way so I’d be going pretty nuclear with this. Back round to speak to the children’s mother, with the children present and a stern warning that any further attempts to come on to my property will lead to a call to the police for trespass and attempted theft. As they are minors, the parent is legally responsible so it would be her that gets into trouble.
my own children would not be permitted to play with them anymore either so totally cutting off access to my children’s toys.
What I absolutely wouldn’t be doing is spending any of my time or money hunting out bikes etc for them. That is 100% on their own mother to do. If she is being a neglectful parent, then Social Services need to be told. Just because she is poor doesn’t give her or her children a free pass to act any way they want.10
