Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Now light and dry underfoot - forecast sun shine, cloudy and showers. We'll see!
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Lunch yesterday was roast pork, very nice it was too, some LO's.
Back to work today, we'll see how that goes.
Keep safe and well x

Morning
All back to normal here this morning. Have really enjoyed the Platinum Jubilee…. its moving to think none of us are likely to see another in our lifetime in fact I doubt we will see much of the queen either anymore she deserves a long rest from the spotlight. My highlights were the Paddington scene, the puppet corgis in the parade (so funny) and trooping the colour on Thurs. All good memories.
So washing is on, dishwasher needs emptying and the kitchen needs putting back to some kind of order. Sliced the gammon into portions yesterday and got 7 me size bags for the freezer. I’ve prawns out for tonight so a salad is on the books after a pretty calorific few days.
Have a good day all

Morning All
Bright and sunny this morning, we've certainly had a good few days of sunshine here. Washing all up to date and some housework done.
I've spent most of the weekend painting the fence around the deck, it looks much better now. Next on the list is to power wash the deckingn and oil it but that will take some time, may try to do an hour each evening to get it clean then hope for some more good weather to get the oil down.
Lovely final act of so much love for your DM Gers.
Sorry to hear your horse is unwell again Mehefin.
Hope you've enjoyed your gadding about Poppy.
What a shock for your DD and the DGDs TA, hope it's all sorted and everyone is well.
Happy Monday, take care. XX11 -
Morning folks.Yes, the weekend has been lovely, so many great things happening around the Queen. The next 'big' royal event won't be so happy. My day turned out well yesterday. The scattering was very emotional, the chap up the hill drove down to the beach in his old land rover (I needed a stool to get up into it) he then stood on a rock to play his bagpipes. All during this there was an audience of a small herd of cows who seemed very interested on the going-ons. All done and now I feel much more peaceful.Afterwards they has a BBQ, a few friends arrived, only four adults with two children, we had the most tasty homemade venison burgers and sliced venison with salad. A real feast indeed.Today I'm doing a quick trip to Glasgow to return the bottles of wine which I'd bought at the end of May, each of the six is mineralised (bad) probably from being kept too warm during storage or shipping. It's a PIA but so is having wine which can't be drunk! The day is going to be lovely for driving. Here's a picture of the view from the beach yesterday, it's the Paps of Jura, three hills on the island.Happy Monday to everyone.

Morning all
Been raining during the night and its overcast now with more rain due I think, off to work for me and back to the grindI have really enjoyed the extra long weekend but it always goes so quickly.
I have not been very good with my diet over the weekend so back to it today, the dw needs emptying this morning but OH has the day off so I will leave it to him. I will put a wash on before work too.
Lamb biryani for dinner tonight will cut all the fat off the lamb first.
Hope you have all had a good long weekend.
Have good days all xxx11 -
Morning folks and thanks NMLC. Evidence of overnight rain, now stopped. But another day of the ever present cloud is on the forecast for the day. Where's the sun hiding.
I know it's Monday but I have the Tuesday coffee morning then lunch day with DFF today. Brought forward as I should be taking Sparkle to the vets tomorrow. This too might have to be postponed due to DD's accident on Saturday. It's dependant on how quickly a courtesy car is arranged for her after she has spoken to the insurance co at 8.00 this morning. After them being incommunicado all w/e she will probably be around 75th in a queue before getting to speak to someone. She had a very uncomfortable day yesterday, following on from her sleepless night. Everything going over in her mind of what might have been as well as aching all over. But as YL said cars can be replaced, lives cannot.
I too enjoyed all the Jubilee celebrations and spent too much time, feet up in front of the tv. The parade yesterday went on a bit too long and Ed Sheeran not on long enough afterwards but that's my only complaint!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies and poorly loved ones. Thinking of BELLA and hoping there isn't a drama waiting at the airport for them. Happy Holiday. Take care one and all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"9 -

Good morning all.
Chilly here today and I'm sitting here thinking of what we can eat this week, before popping off to the s/m. DH is making shepherd's pie for tonight but I think we'll have something involving pork steaks in the slow cooker tomorrow, maybe with sliced up fennel.
Was out playing at Jubilee events both Saturday and Sunday and both days I had the heater on in the car as it was so chilly. Luckily we didn't get rained on but it was a close thing yesterday. Laundry on the go now so will finish my tea and get moving.
Best wishes to everyone.8 -
Good morning all, cold and dull here this morning.
Not a great start to the week, I felt a little chilly and had a raspy throat yesterday, did a LFT this morning as had haircut booked and most put out to find it is positive. Thinking positive and will keep warm, drink lots and take Paracetamol and see what develops. According to NHS when I reported it I should hear back soon ref. receiving the treatment, if nothing in 24 hours as they state I will contact my consultant's wonderful secretary.
Sorry being a bit "me", but need to cancel some more appointments and try and book a SM delivery.
Take care all.
PS so far OH is neg.The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)10 -
Morning everyone
Sorry I've been missing over the weekend ...had a lovely weekend with eldest DD. She really enjoyed the Ed Sheeran concert on Friday night. It took her 2 hours after wards to get from Sunderland on the Metro back to Newcastle - there were 60,000 people there!
Little one was here for a few hours on Saturday then we sat outside - in lovely warm sunshine which was a treat. Then we walked into town and had tea in a newish Turkish restaurant we hadn't tried before - it was delicious.
She's had a bit of a nightmare journey getting home. She should have been back in her apartment in Nuremberg by 11 last night, but her flight to Frankfurt was delayed by about 2 hours so she was put in a hotel overnight, then onto a flight to Nuremberg this morning - she should be almost there now. She said that passengers on the plane missed connections to 9 different flights - a lot of people to have to put up in hotels! Luckily she's off work today as it's a Bank holiday.
I watched a lovely Jubilee highlights programme last night, as I only saw little bits of it 'live.'
So back to work today, still just working afternoons and signed off sick till the end of term from my cleaning job. I still get tired really quickly and ache a lot. plus my hands and feet are really painful just now.
I'd better go and get some jobs done - my bedding is almost finished washing so I'll get that out on the line as it's meant to be dry all day.
Gers your send off for your mum sounds very special x
Hope everyone has a good day x
Maddie may - hope you don't feel too poorly x11 -
Hi everyone,
We're back. We had a lovely sunny week in Pembrokeshire and then an horrendous rainy journey back last night. We finally got home at midnight, I was hoping Esben would sleep longer but he didn't so I'm a bit bleary eyed.
I only managed a couple of sentences before he told me that was enough work and closed the laptop lid.
It was a full on week, but the coast is beautiful and the weather couldn't have been better. Back to reality now, I was shocked how messy the house was when we got home, we'd been so rushed when we left I hadn't had time to clean up as much as I usually do, the perils of living with a toddler. so today will be tidying and meal planning so that I can get to grips with the shopping which has got a bit out of control. I also want to get a waterproof mattress protector, Esben has been dry at night since he started potty training about 3 weeks ago so, as we have finished the last pack of nappies there is no point in buying another but I don't want a ruined mattress if he has an accident in the night. He's been a little star with only a handful of accidents sice he decided to use the potty.
Laura had the results of the blood test she had and was told that the risk of the baby having chromosomal abnormalities was low so that's another worry off her mind. She's trying to finish her dissertation so will be busy for the next couple of weeks but after that she will be able to take over with Esben to a great extent.
I missed a lot of news I am sure because the internet was so dodgy at the house, so I will just say that I hope the poorlies are as well as can be expected and I hope that everyone enjoys there various holidays and don't have cancellation stress.
Gers, that sounds a lovely send off for your DM.
Have a good day.11
