    A bit of both,  I’ve got some outside walls that a bare brick that have just been painted over and that paint is coming off so something needs to be resolved there and then the front of the house is this God awful pebble dash.

    It is a lime based render (possibly gauged with OPC) over the top of a very hard base coat. Over the last 90+ years, it has been painted with an assortment of finishes, including stuff like Sandtex. Large patches have fallen off on one wall, and other areas sounded hollow...

    Mines not been painted so it’s just the horrible unfinished look that literally just looks unfinished but do you know what if it does the job great I guess it’s just not pretty,  Although to be fair right now that is the absolute least of my worries
