Procook false advertising

Hi all - Bit of a left field question that I was hoping someone smarter than me could help with. Apologies if this isnt the right place to post.
I recently bought a casserole dish from Pro Cook online that was advertised as being enamelled inside and out. As you can see from the included pamphlet
the are 'enamelled inside and out to remain rust free'. However when it arrived I was surpised to see that the inside was black; I've seen other enamel dishes
like le creuset that have a different colour inside where you can clearly see its enamel, but this just looks like cast iron. I however assumed it must be some kind
of clear enamel and used it once to bake some bread. But straight after rust has formed all over it; it's hard to photograph but I have tried to attach an example of one side.
You can see the rust spots and this is from just one use. There is no requirement to season it or do anything as it's not mean to tbe cast iron but it really just seems like cast iron. Does anyone know if there is such as thing as clear enamel or have i been done? (Perhaps it is black coating, but in that case im not sure why it would rust so quickly).
I have emailed the company to complain but they just keep coming back asking for more photos so they can send them to their product experts team. I've been asked to take a third lot of photos now and it just really seems like diversion tactics.

Many thanks

That looks like there's a coating of some sort on it but the rust does suggest it's faulty or incomplete. But you'll need to get them to agree that it's not up to standard or otherwise not fit for purpose.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe and Old Style Money Saving boards. There certainly seems to be a fault on the coating but that does not equate to false advertising. It is simply a faulty product. Nothing more and nothing less.

it is not enamelled inside - only on the outside. The advert is wrong.
The inside is either just cast iron or maybe has a non stick coating.
Return it.0 -
Hi, I have to say that booklet included with the dish is confusing. The heading says 'Enamelled griddles and cast iron casseroles' - which would indicate that the casseroles are cast iron. But then the next line refers to cast iron casseroles and griddles being enamelled inside and out.
I do agree with you that what you have received doesn't look anything like an enamel coated casserole.
I'd return it because it's not as described and also appears faulty having developed rust patches.
This item fails the Consumer Rights Act 2015 because it's not as described and it's not of satisfactory quality (see link below)
https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/consumer-rights-refunds-exchange/#:~:text=You can get a full,most cases) of 30 days.
It's up to the retailer to prove that it is as described and of satisfactory quality, not you.
You don't need to keep sending photos, you can just send the thing back, at their expense, for a full refund. Martin says so!Please note - taken from the Forum Rules and amended for my own personal use (with thanks) : It is up to you to investigate, check, double-check and check yet again before you make any decisions or take any action based on any information you glean from any of my posts. If the OP is rejecting the item and wants a refund and if it was purchased within the past 30 days then no, the retailer doesn't have to prove anything.MalMonroe said:

In this instance, it's up to the consumer to prove that the fault was present at the time of purchase.1 -

Frankly, the OP's images look like crap that has got on the product at some point after manufacture rather than rust.
What does it look like after you wiped it off with a suitable cleaning agent, OP?0 -
Yes but does yours go rusty inside? I don't know a lot about enamel but I do know that it doesn't rust.0

It does look like its enabled, have several Staub items that look the same with their black enamel.
The picture however is terrible, the lower mark doesn't look like rust but some bread still stuck to it (its enamelled not non-stick) and so you can see why they are asking for clearer pictures. Its certainly not clear that its rusting let alone any indication if the enamel has been chipped or was just incomplete at manufacture
As others have said, ultimately you need to return it to them, assuming you bought directly as per the link, and next steps are dependent on their response.0 -
