Last year I switched an account to HSBC including 3 DWP payments, that was done with no effort from me at all. However, I am currently 9 days into switching into Nationwide from another bank and it has not followed the guidance at all. Having just come off the phone to Nationwide they told me I was only doing a "partial switch?". I even went on their chat line before I started the process explaining that I wanted to switch and close my old bank account. I don't know what their switching team is doing but, right now even with a lot of money in Nationwide, I wouldn't recommend them, so I guess it depends on the bank you are switching to whether it's successful or not.
