I'm not sure how your privacy is affected by a single storey extension next door but one, even if it does have side windows.Don't you have a 6ft fence? You've said there is a fence is next to the extension too, how tall is that?Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Neither am I. Surely the windows are low enough that a fence will obscure the view or someone walking outside would see over the fence or alternatively high enough that no one inside could see out anyway.
Also while I appreciate it’s annoying to lose a (presumably) previously lovely view you have no right to a view over someone else’s land. If you buy a house with a nice view always view it as a bonus that you could lose at any time.1 -
We do have a 6 foot fence but the window is still above both fences - the ground is not level. The window is completely visible from our patio.Doozergirl said:I'm not sure how your privacy is affected by a single storey extension next door but one, even if it does have side windows.Don't you have a 6ft fence? The fences do not obscure the window . The window is completely visible from our patio. We can't tell whether anyone can see through the window or not , either way it's still not pleasant to have it looming over us. We thought that living in a conservation area would mean that we had more protection, and would at least be consulted about changes to our privacy / outlook, but it appears we were wrong.Gavin83 said:Neither am I. The window might be visible but whilst people can see what is above a six foot fence (some glazing), there are very few people, in fact I'd say no one, that can physically look over and down past a six foot fence that is next door but one.eloisa said:

I'm afraid that you may be suffering from a case of Nimbyism as this extension has no meaningful effect on your life at all. The planners know that.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

If you could add photo(s)/a diagram, eloisa, it might aid people to better understand your issue with the extension/overlooking etc.....0
