Afternoon all. I'm now settled with my coffee - no cake or biscuits
and, apart from tea tonight, I'm done for the day.
Today's weather is fine and dry, no wind, and feeling quite mild, although it was definitely chilly last night. Roll on the better weather, I want to be wearing summer tops and skirts!
I almost finished the deep clean of the spare bedroom yesterday but had to finish it off this morning as I was feeling somewhat pooped and the enthusiasm was waning. Done now, so the other spare bedroom is next in my sights. That one will be more difficult as it's really just a dumping ground and the clutter is building up again.
I shall have to pace myself. I've also cleaned the bathroom and replaced the towels, so I think that's enough for one day.
Tea tonight is fishcake and mushy peas. No afters planned but there is stuff we can have if we fancy anything.
Glad DD made it home, dp1, enjoy her company.
Enjoy your visit to DM, Nels. She seems to have settled well.
Hope you get your drains sorted, camelot.
Definitely more cake, WL.
Commiserations to those waking early when they don't need to. Isn't it always the way?
Finally, well done to those succeeding in shedding the extra pounds.
Take care, and have a great weekend. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.8 -
Airports can be utterly frustrating and tension-filled. For five years, I gave talks in Texas (I'm in California), over 2310 kilometers away. It was less stressful to drive the distance (three days to get there and three days to get back) than to deal with the airports. I arrived much calmer and less weary as a result.3
