Morning All
Thanks for the start Scarlet.
I woke up very early this morning, typical as I have a day off! I've to do some shopping first thing then there's someone coming to look at the drains at the side of the house, I think one is blocked and it's causing damp on that wall. The rest of the day will be spent in the garden if the weather stays good, there are some very black clouds out there.
Well done on the weight loss Ruby, I lost another 2 1/2lbs this week, another 1lb to go and it'll be a stone so some incentive to keep going.
Hope you're enjoying your time with your DD dp1, glad she got home safely.
Have a great weekend. Take care.XX

Morning
Another early riser here popped the news on at 6 and was met by been told off by the presenters for not having a lie in!! Great way to have me change channel. Would love to but once awake thats it for me.
Loved all the pomp and circumstance of trooping the colour and the balcony appearance. She did have to stand for a long time so not surprised about her backing out of the service today. Hopefully she is picking out her favourite events so as not to wear herself out. She is one impressive lady at 96.
Off to see mum today. Her carer sent me some pictures of all the fun and games yesterday they have really put the effort in.
Nothing much planned after the visit.
Fish fingers for dinner big decision is mash and beans or a sandwich.
Have a good day all11 -
Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. Evidence of overnight rain here but I suppose that's the best time for it to fall! Still cloudy but at least the rain has stopped (for now!) Yesterday was lovely in the morning then the clouds took over. But I got the towels dry despite a lack of sun.
I'm all at sea with days this week with all the bank holidays. It was a bit of a blow this morning when I realised it was Friday Tidy day. I might postpone it to tomorrow.
Dp1 it was good to hear your DD finally got home and BELLA I can fully understand that seeing all the chaos at our airports has put a dampener on your holiday. People can't look forward to their trip in case it's cancelled. As usual everyone is blaming someone else for the mess.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, poorly loved ones and MIA. Take care one and all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"12 -
Morning Everyone,

Bright and sunny here looks to be a lovely day, OH is still in bed but once he is up I shall strip the bed and get it on a hot wash, it can be hung out on the line today.
We are both going to pick up the click and collect today, we shall pop into Lidl before hand as its Greek week this week and I love greek food, so will pick a few bits up from there, once we are home and the shopping is away we will get the dogs out for a nice long walk maybe in the woods as it will be a bit cooler there.
Mum and I had a good day yesterday I took her to work where we spent an hour looking at the plants and she bought quite a few ! I got a good discount from work though which is fab, I then took her for fish and chips ( I had sushi instead less calories ) and got her a bit of shopping, I drpped her off home with her plants and she was very happy. Her gardener will put the plants in for her next week.
We are going to bbq tonight, I have a bit of pork which I will cook in the oven and then finish off on the bbq, I will make some HM coleslaw with light mayo and do some little new potatoes roasted with garlic, Nels come along and bring much wine !
DP1 glad your dd managed to get home xxx

I'm on my way10 -
Morning all. I'm a bit late this morning so sitting here with my second cup of tea.
Need to put together a greek salad as off to DD's for a bbq at lunchtime but otherwise we have a day to ourselves here. In the end I didn't attempt fancy piping on my cakes, just tried to swirl the buttercream enough to hold the fancy regal toppers. Obviously misjudged how much buttercream I'd need so now have a small bowl of it sitting in the fridge. Does that mean I need to make more cake?!
Enjoyed Trooping the Colour yesterday; always like a good marching band and now I'm hooked on one of the tunes they played towards the end. Have been looking it up online and will have a go at learning it later.
Have a good BH Friday everyone.8
