I'm looking to buy an Amazon Fire tablet for my niece's birthday, whilst the tablets are on sale.
Would an Amazon Fire 7 tablet be good for someone who would used it for watching YouTube videos?
Would the Fire 8 be better choice because it is HD and a slightly bigger screen or is there not much difference between the two tablets?
How long is the guarantee? My niece's birthday is in November, before the Black Friday deals usually start on these tablets.

Fire 8 would be better - we have both. The Fire 7 (at least the version I have) is old tech and is quite slow. My partner has the Fire 8 and that is noticeably faster - the bigger screen helps too, and the audio output is also better.

No idea about guarantee - check Amazon's website - but we've had ours for years with no issues.

There is a new 2022 Fire 7, released later this month
Should be more like the 8 performance wise.

I have a 2 year old Fire HD8 tablet and a year older Fire 7 tablet. The HD 8 is better in every department. if using for watching films etc go for the 8" every time. Makes a big difference. Screen quality is good enough and battery life decent. The 8" one is also more responsive in operation.

we got the older 9th gen HD 10 when on sale in march for £60, not used it much but screen is good.

The newer ones have more memory(both types) and faster processor.

this was for the OH as her Samsung tab 3 has been playing up,

IF looking now for me it would be a 10hd+  but I am getting by on the phone for most things.
