Vanguard Junior S&S ISA once 18

My son has just turned 18 and his Junior S&S ISA has disappeared from my Vanguard account (assume as it has moved to a normal S&S ISA).

He doesn’t have a Vanguard login/profile so I assume he needs to create one but he has to pick a product such as a S&S ISA or General account, what does he select as I assume he already has a S&S ISA and we don’t want to open another one?!

(im hoping once he creates an account his matured S&S ISA will be there under his profile!).
Cheers, Stu

    15.3. When a child turns 18

When a child beneficiary for whom you have opened a

Junior ISA reaches the age of 18, we will automatically

convert the Junior ISA into an ISA in the beneficiary’s

    own name.

The child’s identity will be verified in accordance with

    clause 1.3.

I would have thought that Vanguard would be writing to your son concerning the matter.

Otherwise he could try the help line

Thanks, yes I’ve not had an email or anything so really wondering if anyone has had experience of this with Vanguard.

They should have sent you a message asking for his details, mobile, email etc, so check your account to see if you have got this.

He should then get an email with the count details, and can then set his own password and they use a text code to verify that it is him when he logs in the 1st time.

My daughter didn’t get the initial message from them with the account details so had to go through the forgotten account process to recover the username.

He will then need to verify his identity in order to be able to take money out etc

Don’t recall them sending a message and I can log in my account but cannot view messages or anything actually (I don’t have any other Vanguard product personally and it just gives me a blank screen for everything).

Already tried forgotten account but it doesn’t recognise his email address.

Looks like I’ll have to contact them on Monday.

    Sorted.

They replied to my query via email to say he should have had his details sent to him and if not to give them a ring.
An hour later, before we had chance to ring, we got an email with his username and an email with his password (well his password was blank to useless), seems like it needed someone to press a button rather than it be an automated process.

Reset his password as we now had his username and everything seems to be present and correct.
