I've been looking up proxy servers, free ones to access news etc in countries that do not allow access in the UK.
Is there a proxy that can be used without a download, eG just go to their site and search via their site?
When using a proxy, which one hides everything IE you ISP/the systems you are using, laptop type, windows you are using etc etc, please.

'Best' in this regard will be a very subjective assessment.
On your second question, who are you trying to 'hide everything' from? Your ISP, the website you are visiting, or other members of your household?
The 'best' answer depends on what you are trying to achieve0 -

When using a proxy, which one hides everything IE you ISP/the systems you are using, laptop type, windows you are using etc etc, please. It is impossible to hide "everything". You are already leaking loads of information without knowing it.https://browserleaks.com/ might be a surprise to you.1 -

I'm considering buying a burner phone and using that for browsing general, non-important stuff.0 -

I'm considering buying a burner phone and using that for browsing general, non-important stuff. Why? That won't hide you from anything either, because if you go over Wi-Fi the provider you're with will have your traffic in the logs, and if you go over the mobile network the phone provider will have the logs. What are you trying to do exactly? If your aim is just to look at foreign news sites that limit their access to specific countries and block everybody else not from those countries, just stick Tor on your computer and force a specific country:Note that Tor does not hide everything either internet traffic wise either. The only 100% sure fire way not to leak any of the data you seem to be concerned about on the internet is not to go on the internet in the first place. Simple as.1 -

The reason I want to do this that I worry a lot about my accounts/email/banking/etc being hacked.0 -
The device and the method of connection you use to get online is immaterial. Your accounts are far more likely to be "hacked" on the server/provider side. So it doesn't matter whether you go online with a laptop, a mobile phone or a potato. Also note that a good chunk of "hacked" email is actually spoofed, and there was no actual hack. The problem with free email like Hotmail/Outlook/Yahoo/GMail is that you stick whatever you like in front of the @ and it will almost certainly be a valid email address. You can protect yourself from "hacking" by using all the account security options presented to you - so two factor authentication, mobile authenticator app/Google authentication app, using a strong password in the first place, using a browser that is actually updated regularly (ie not Internet Explorer) and generally not doing anything stupid like clicking on links in emails unless you 100% know its safe. In other words; common sense.Your online banking is already protected because its part of the licence for it, that if any fraud happens on it as a result of their negligence/failings, its automatically their responsibility to put it right and ensure you are not out of pocket. if you put yourself in that situation that's an entirely different thing.1

Can you explain more clearly exactly what you are trying to achieve? Accessing iplayer when on holiday in Spain, or "something online banking something" ?
Basically every banking website will already use TLS so your data can't be spied on in transit to steal your passwords (governments really hate that encryption that their covert intelligence services cannot crack exists by the way, that's why they start talking about "protecting children" and banning encryption in the same breath), so you don't need a "proxy" for that.
