Passport fiasco

Hi .I applied for an emergency passport application costing around £150.They cancelled the appointment but still took my money even though they assured me that wouldn't happen. After making many phone calls and being on hold for over an HR and a half each time I've spoke to numerous agents all assuring me that my problem would be flagged and I'd be contacted within 24 hrs.......I've had nothing. Its been over a month of pure frustration .Im wondering how many others are having the same problems and if they managed to get it resolved. On one occasion the agent told me I was the fifth person they'd spoke to with this issue

If they have incorrectly charged you for a service they did not provide -and are not refunding you - you can do a chargeback with your bank .

Did you use the 1 week fast-track service?

Are you sure you used the proper, official website? (gov.uk)

What reason did they give for cancellation of your appointment?

    I would contact your MP.

I'm thinking the same thing @Pollycat.  Why did they cancel it? - There are  companies who take your money for an appointment then try to get an appointment for you.   Since there are very few appointments, if any, available just now that could be the reason for the cancellation.
To make an appointment you have to pay fro application before an appointment can be made-so of course the money will be taken.
