That piece is reflecting the results of the TCR but without actually explaining why there are differences, it certainly isn't suppliers deciding to move costs out of the kWh and into the SC, they don't have that freedom under the cap.

My standing charge for gas is about 90% of my bill each month because I use little gas. It's a low bill compared with many . If we have our gas boilers removed and install heat pumps instead we will all be paying hundreds of pounds every year for the privilege of not using gas.0
