Currys sky cashback offer

Hi,

Looking for bit of advice, signed up to sky via currys after spending over £75 instore as the shop assistant told me I'd get £75 cashback and £75 love2shop vouchers if I done it via currys.  I explained I wouldn't actually be moving into house for couple of months but was told that's fine you just send in your claim couple of days after install. Sky installed on Friday, put in claim on Monday to then be told I'm to late, claim must be done within 45-60 days of purchase, doesn't matter when sky installed.
Explained that I done as shop assistant advised, but been told tough terms and conditions state otherwise and I'm late by approx 1 week.

Does anyone have any advice on how I can get them to honour the cashback?

  • Have a Google for CEO email and search that site for Currys to find an email contact for a higher level of customer facing staff.

The assistant was likely incorrect, whilst they should still honour what you were told sadly the difficulty will be proving what was said.

Couple of months is 60 days.

All down to interpretation of just what was said.

  • Forgot to mention, if I want to complain it has to be posted in, they do not have a complaints email address, which is crazy in this day in age!

Not really. Means only 'serious' complaints will get through, and stop those just complaining on a whim.

Post is also how any legal claim would be made. There's no need for retailers to have a "complaints" contact address of any sort.
