Septic tank conversion- Mantair- noise?

Hello

We are thinking of converting our septic tank to a sewage treatment system and Mantair has been recommended.

I wondered if anyone had any experience of this and the amount of noise a system like that will make? It would be about 14 metres from the house and close to the area we sit out in the garden (behind a hedge so no worries about how it looks).

Thank you.

    Hi,

I can't answer your question, sorry,

but I am interested in your reasons from wanting to change to this system from the septic.

What with initial capital and on going maintenance plus electricity charges I can't believe its any cheaper at all.

If the machine uses 80 wats per hour, that's c2 kwh per day (I imagine it has to run 24hrs a day) at 30p = £220 per year (and only going up), which is more than I pay for emptying.

I don't know if the tank still needs occasional emptying, or even if you need a discharge license.

Is your system not man enough for what you throw at it?

    I'm just intrigued.
