Interest freezem

Hi
does anyone know if credit score is affected if you ask your c-card company to reduce or freeze interest for a period of time.

Thanks

You'll go into an arrangement, which will be recorded on your files.

It's effectively the same as a default if not very temporary.
  • Credit score is meaningless anyway, nobody but you sees it. It's never used in any lending decision. The arrangement will have the impact on future lending, not the gimmick score.

Are you sure? I know Barclay's letters about persistent debt categorically stated nothing would show on your credit history if you took their offer of reduced interest but freezing spending on the card.
