Phone charger compatibility

Hello all,
I am in the process of ordering a Samsung Galaxy A52s, which does not come with a charger. At the moment I am using my XIAOMI phone, it came with a power adapter model MDY-08-E0
input 100-240v-50/60/Hz.0.35A
output 5v=2amp
will this be compatible with the Samsung regards charging, or is it the case of purchasing from Samsung.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thank you for your post shiraz99, at the moment I think I will use my XIAOMI charger, if I find it’s not suitable regards speed, I will look into your suggestion.

Does the actual USB cable make much difference to the charging rate or is it mainly/completely down to the charger?

It is down to the charger and the device being charged.  The device has to determine what the capabilities of the charger are (does it support the same fast charging protocols etc).  If they both support the same fast charge protocol then they will switch to using that.  If they don't they will switch to the basic charging protocol which is slower.  The device being charged has control over the charging rate as it needs to make sure the battery is not damaged by whatever charging rate is being used.  As the battery gets fuller the charging rate drops.

Yes, the cable can also influence charging rate.
So charging rate is determined by device and charger, as described above, and cable.

The make itself shouldn't influence charge rate ( so you are unlikely to need a Samsung cable), more the quality and rating (e.g. cheap thin cables are most likely to only support slow charging rates).
