Local Search Delays

Morning All

My buyer's solicitor is experiencing delays with obtaining a local search - Mid Sussex.  It has been over 20 days now since it was ordered.
Anyone else having the same issue?

Thanks

Less than 3 weeks, no reason to worry. Don't over think the process.

Back in October it was our searches delay in coming back that added time onto our purchase.
Make sure everything else is sorted that you can and keep your seller updated. When this is the issue, other parties are more relaxed (in my experience) than if its you being slow to do your bits.
May you find your sister soon Helli.

It varies. Ours were back in 3 days but that was most certainly a fluke! Other times it was more like 2 weeks.
  • 4-6 weeks for searches to come back where we are in North-West England (and they are taking closer to the 6 week mark).

My parents are finding the house selling and buying process extremely frustrating due to the length of time it is taking for searches to be completed in their small chain (alongside the fact they haven't moved house for 50 years) so have forgotten how stressful it can be.

Thanks for this, that’s a real eye opener.  The Mid Sussex website says the turnover is 3 days, the search flow link is 19 days!  That
    does explain a lot.
