Hiya, another newbie..
I've been casually saving for a long time now, little bits here and there - but it's time to put some proper effort in! It seems these days I take more money out of my savings than I put in
Two simple goals to start:

As it stands I have:
£6922.60 in my Help to Buy ISA
£524 in normal savings

Two simple goals to start:
- Learn how to properly track my spending (or potentially find an app?)
- Get to the end of June without dipping into my savings

As it stands I have:
£6922.60 in my Help to Buy ISA
£524 in normal savings

Welcome to the first day of the rest of your life!
I have a spreadsheet on my phone. Over the Christmas holidays I prepare it for the new year, will all my fixed bill, planned spends and everything else set up for each month. As a bill comes out, or I spend some of the food money, I reduce the figures.
You could do two columns, one for planned outgoings, the other for actual spends.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0 -
Best of luck to you!
I also favour the spreadsheet method with planned versus actual0
