Have used YBS for about a week. Their customer service was appalling and took money out within a week

Oh dear that doesn't sound good
I set up the account easy enough
They then send you your customer number by post
I was surprised they did not ask for a linked bank account

    Anyone else had problems
Or good results from this Building Society

I use both.  Like all financial institutions they have their quirks and frustrations. I take advantage of the good bits of each, and try to avoid the bad bits.

The main difference here is the YBS account only pays 1.31% on balances over £50,000, whereas the Ford Money one pays 1.30% on £1+

Unless I was looking to deposit £50k+ in one account the Ford Money one wins at the present time.

I like that Ford sends you a text to confirm receipt of payments so no need to log in to confirm your money's arrived. It also gets there pretty fast - hour or two max.

YBS allows deposits by debit card. Which might be handy for a certain reward current account  ;)

I use YBS. My main bug bear is their online system is poor such as unsatisfactory method of setting up a joint account and the transfer between YB accounts is not great (need to enter the recieving account number rather than choosing by multiple selection-list box).
Had 1 poor Customer Service experience but generally OK for me.
