Heating recommendations please

ATM, we have no heating as such. We are currently using some portable electric heaters in various rooms around the house, and have been using the immersion heater for baths and boiling the kettle for washing dishes. I can rule out solar panels, burning fuel e.g. coal, and gas due to the amount of structural work that would…

Im not really sure what you count as 'structural work', All piping for gas central heating or Air source heating could be surface mounted and boxed in, but lifting floor boards is not really a problem, And the roof would have to be in terrible condition if it cant take the weight of solar.

I could understand if you are renting?
