Travel insurance for UK only, over 75 with stable pre-existing medical conditions?

I have been searching for the above. Most quotes cover far more than I am looking for. I want to cover a short 7 day UK residential course in case train strikes mean I can't get there. I have no worries about my health conditions.
Has anybody found anything suitable recently please?

In the absence of any replies, I have taken out insurance with Staysure.
It was really hard to find anything suitable for my needs via comparison sites. It seems poeple only want insurance to travel abroad.
With Saga, for example, the minimum amount covered is £5000, I was told.
Within the UK I am not going to need medical costs either, though given the state of the NHS if something bad happened I might be glad to go privately, who knows?
With Staysure having declared my 2 pre-existing medical conditions I was able to get them excluded, to keep costs down. I consider it highly unlikely that they would cause me to cancel.1 -

Travel insurance expects you to mitigate your losses, same as any insurance, and so if you are entitled to state funded (or partially funded) healthcare then its anticipated you'd use the NHS in the UK or EHIC/GHIC card if in the EU etc.
Whilst medical represents by far the largest individual claims the cover provided for cancelled/abandoned trips is still the largest head of claim for travel insurers and luggage/PP a fairly close third. Most of these will apply to UK travel as much as EU or further afield. Travel insurance tends to be banded for the very reason that UK/EU travel has low-no medical bills whereas the US has by far the highest.0 -
