Hi i downloaded tik tok again recently and i was shocked and appalled to see the worrying numbers of lives with people playing slot machines at home and in casinos and scratching off hundreds of pounds of scratch cards?! They now have weekly ranking and im witnessing people bully their viewers to buy "gifts" to get them up the leader board. Its totally shocking 😱😱😱😱 i am concerned that people eill not only struggle with gambling and children exposed to this from an early age, but im also watching vulnerable able people abused "to prove their support of a host" by emptying ig their bank accounts. Yes i have reported it but i get report back saying "no violations found" even when someone is live shouting graphic language to obtain money.

When I worked at a seaside resort while at skool, the owner of the arcade said, when they wanted change for a £1, always give twenty pence in 2ps. three 10ps and a 50p. That way, 20p would be put in the puggy (They were 2p a shot in those days). Soon they would be back with three 10ps for 2ps and within a few minutes we would have the 50p back as well!

The boss would say, As long as the punter enjoys losing their money!'

There, nothing has changed in 45 years!

@FreedomBringsPeace I suspect you've fallen into one of the TikTok algorithms so you see a far higher prevalence of this content than others - I've certainly never seen a single instance of this yet am bombarded that could easily be linked to my interests on other platforms

Reporting is good but as you've seen probably of limited effect in the first instance - and even when successful it'll just become cyclical `between users/platforms

I have just returned and have no other social media but it may have added it to my algorythym when I sat and watched what was going on... my issue isn't me seeing it but the fact it's on there to begin with. Tik tok is aimed at a younger market and I worry for children being exposed to this from an early age

TikTok is owned by the Chinese Communist Party. I don't think they care about the well-being of your children.

If you don't want your kids seeing this stuff, use the parental controls on their devices and uninstall TikTok.
