HMRC refuses to pay back vat to Viva Wallet account

Options
Hi.
My company is due back vat 1k but HMRC cannot make the transfer to Viva wallet as Viva wallet does not facilitate backs payments. They only facilitate chaps and fast track.
Crazy to find out that I will loose 1k.
Viva wallet does not  accept cash cheques either.
The only solution I can think of is to hire an accountant and hope HMRC repays money to them.

Has anyone experienced this?
Much appreciate your help

  • Why not open a normal work bank account and get it paid there?

viva wallet looks like a POS system, I wouldn't expect HMRC to make payment to it.

Open a proper business bank account and get HMRC to pay that.

Might want to get the post moved to the small business board as this is the credit file one.

Or, and much more straightforward, open a standard business account.

Why is it  limited? Can't anyone open a business bank account? Obviously your current arrangement is also limited.

Why does that matter?  Several years ago I ran my own Ltd. Co.  Opened up a business account with my current bank online, there were no questions relating to the nature of the business.  The only thing I had to provide was proof of registration with Companies House.
