Moving into first home

Hi guys! I'm moving tomorrow and need to set up gas and electric. What do I do after taking the current readings in the property?

Congratulations on the new home.The property will have a current energy supplier, the same one as the previous occupiers had. Hopefully you've been told who these are but if not you can find out online.Contact the current suppliers, let them know you've moved in, give them your opening meter readings and tell them you want to stay on the Standard Variable Tariff for the time being. You can worry about comparison shopping and switching later.If you have a water meter, read that and contact the water company too.N. Hampshire, he/him.
