Moving employer and childcare vouchers

So I'm going to be moving employer and I'm currently on the childcare vouchers.  I know I have to leave the scheme.  The benefit is slightly better with vouchers but ce la vie.

My question is this.  I've built up over 3k in childcare vouchers due to them being paid during my mat leave.  I know I can still use them once I leave my employer but can I start paying into a tax free scheme?

243 per month does not cover my childcare costs for the month.  It covers about half the cost so I've been slowly eating into the voucher balance for the other half.

What I'd like to do is eat fully into those vouchers while I built up a balance in the tax credit scheme,  so the cost to me doesn't change too much.  As only eating half away each month gets me to just about the free 30 hours.

I know I can't put into a vouchers scheme AND a tax free scheme, but I won't be putting into it anymore, I'll be spending it

Thanks
