There couldn’t be a better time for a bit of pomp and patriotism than in this, the year of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. To celebrate, we’ve got two adult tickets to the 25th anniversary Battle Proms in the leafy (and aptly named) Queen Elizabeth Oak Field at Hatfield Park on 16 July, to give away.
What’s more, we’re throwing in a bottle of Prosecco and handmade choccies to enjoy as you kick back to the programme of orchestral delights performed by the New England Concert Orchestra. Vintage vocals from The Battle Proms Belles will keep toes tapping, while daring displays by the Napoleonic Cavalry and The Red Devils (the British Army & Parachute Regiment’s official freefall display team) will keep you on the edge of your… erm… camping chair!
