Transfer to empty card

Hi, I'm trying to transfer from an amazon card, but no providers seem to recognise the number (or allow transfers to/from it). I've transferred to a different (empty) card before and then been able to get the credit balance sent to my bank.
Has anyone got stuck doing this, I.e empty card refuses to send to bank, or just reverses the transfer?

All credit cards will prohibit putting the account in credit, and the vast majority nowadays will actively prevent it.
So to answer your question, I suspect a lot of people have got stuck doing that.1
