Smart Hub/Router question

I would like to use a Sipgate Basic VOIP account with my BT FTTP connection but the supplied Smart Hub 2 doesn't seem to allow this. It seems that BT only allow you to use their own Digital Voice service . Can anyone please suggest either a workaround that will enable me to do this or a decent (but not too expensive) third party router that can do it? Thanks.

Smart hub 2 only works with BT digital voice phones directly but you can get yourself an ATA box like these
https://www.amazon.co.uk/voip-phone-adapter/s?k=voip+phone+adapter and configure to use with Sipgate and connect to SH2

Thanks. Looks like this will be the way forwards.
