    Many of these scam calls start with someone pretending to be from an ISP. If you are with one of the bigger ones, the higher the risk that they get the right ISP and therefore more likely the success. It then gives them a line of question such as whether anyone from your BB provider has called you recently.

    Also, they can start from people going to websites from links in texts, again from supposedly trusted sources.

    Maybe not realising these are relevant shows why they ask them and whether by asking why they are relevant shows you may be at risk from these types of scams. great if you understand this (not meaning to insult) but if not, then I would suggest doing some research so as to be better equipped to avoid them.

    @k_man thanks , that makes sense, but it just . It should be more targeted that so broad. Since I don’t pay bills with the bank. Hmm lol actually when I think about . Am probably wrong 



    @400ixl No offence taken. I don’t usually click stuff am not 100% sure off. May be a bit bad perk of mine but am more paranoid as general person. If I could I would padlock my lunch box. lol

    Same happened to me last week but different banks.  They just sent me a text message to ask if it was me who had requested the transfer.  I guess it boils down to them doing their bit to combat fraud.
