Im fed up f using y blunt knives. Ive tried sharpening them but it hasnt helped much. They were a cheap set I bought years ago, so perhaps I should upgrade with a decent set.

I dont spend a lot f time cooking - usually just cutting up some chicken and veg.

can anyone recommend a decent set of knives? How often would they need to be sharpened? Or perhaps I just need a decent knife sharpener?

Any advice/recommendations would be greatly received! :)

I bought my husband two Victorinox knives on recommendation of his son, who is a butcher, they are super sharp, a pleasure to use and 'hold an edge' well. But expensive.

I've had a set of Henckels for almost 30 years.  Used daily, sharpened before every use.  Doubt I will ever need to replace them.
