Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Now light and dry underfoot - forecast is dry and cloudy. Have wash load to peg out in a mo.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was HM bacon and mushroom quiche, which I made last night when I got in from work with hot new potatoes and coleslaw for the menfolk. I had greek salad and boiled eggs (trying to lose some weight and not throw any food away so using up everything!)
Today my normal chore day - food shopping first then everything else.
Keep safe and well x

Morning - thanks for starting us off nmlc. It's a very bright sunny morning here, just a change from the horrible day yesterday. I got so much done in Glasgow and then finished up by watching Top Gun. Despite my misgivings I thoroughly enjoyed it, I keep surprising myself.I'm about to get showered and dressed ready for breakfast and then I'll catch the bus to the airport. My flight is at 1.00pm but I like to be there early enough to relax, wander through duty free and watch the action. Some gates are a fair way from security so I need to have time for the walk.I hope that everyone is doing OK, including poorly mums, my thoughts are with you. Happy Friday to all.11

Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC.It's bright and sunny, but still very windy, yesterday was similar.I had a terrible night last night, so will be yawning all day no doubt. I don't know why I couldn't sleep, I was tired enough after having Dgs all day.Nothing much doing today fortunately, I need some bread and there's a bag to go to the chazzer.Supposed to go to a friend's tonight, I'll see if I'm still standing. Strong coffee will be the order of the day I think.Enjoy your trip Gers, thinking of the poorly people, take care folks.11

Morning
Sorry to be MIA again but life keeps getting in way
Off for a mum visit today with another few bags of her clothes and some bits for her room that I picked up from her house this week. Also brought back a load and I mean a load of tinned food (beans, mackerel and soups) She was never a hoarder but it seems the problem with her eating had been going on longer than I thought as she was asking for it all on her online shop but never ate it. Not much of a hoarder either so I’ll keep a few for my cupboards then send the rest to the food bank. Still more to bring back so hopefully the food bank will get the benefit.
Had a joiner come round whilst I was at the house to get a quote for a handrail. Reasonable price so just waiting for a date he can fit it. I will be able make a proper start on packing up then. Dreading that but most have to go through it I guess.
Have a great trip Gers sounds like you’re living the high life good style now
Rubes glad to here you are getting close to starting your dream job. xx
Happy holidays to everyone planning one
Happy Friday all

Morning everyone
Wide awake this morning, think I slept too long yesterday during the day after my night shift.Off for 10 days now, off up north to visit the family. Taking pup with me and Ds2.
Not much to report, seems all work and sleep for the last few weeks, ready for a break now.
Need to cut down on my grocery spending. I’m fortunate that when I moved I did a fixed rate for 2 years for my energy bills.
Gers safe travels.
Rosy enjoy your holiday.
Ruby - hope you get another client then you can start your new job. Grr at your nephew. My ds2 seems to be doing a bit better, he’s working for another firm and seems much happier-they seem to really focus on the positive, they are younger lads and seem more accepting of his ways.
hugs to anyone that needs/wants one. Take care11 -
Morning folks and thanks NMLC. Have a lovely trip GERS. SCARLET I was with you with the sleepless night and I have been doing so well recently. Should have known it wouldn't last! I too feel like a washed out rag this morning.
Friday Tidy today with a dust and vac all around up and down this morning. Then I promised myself a drastic prune of the wardrobes this afternoon. It's ridiculous keeping all those clothes that never see the light of day - thinking one day I might wear them! I really am going to be ruthless - and then tomorrow I'll be rooting in the cs bags and putting it all back again! Ask me how I know!!
The hairdresser really went to town yesterday. I feel to have been scalped but it was my own fault, I said it's got really out of hand so it needs a good trim this time. She took me at my word. Oh well it will soon grow I suppose.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies and poorly loved ones. Take care one and all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"10 -
Wishing you a lovely holiday Gers7

Good morning everyone and thanks for the start nmlc x
Bright and sunny here and hope it continues as I’d like to get some more washing done. Of course, this creates ironing, so I’ll tackle that tonight!
We saw the Top Gun film last night too @Gers – thoroughly enjoyed it and would go again, in fact I might do as I have a limitless Ode0n pass!
Both bosses out today but I will be on standby waiting for whatever comes along to deal with. DS2 was buzzing with relief after his first A level exam yesterday. He didn’t sit GCSE’s due to Covid so this was his first ‘proper’ test. Next one is Maths on 7 June, so he has some downtime now.
Dinner tonight is SW chicken tikka masala with a little rice. FC tomorrow morning and I’d like a loss after last weeks’ 1lb gain due to TOTM.
Hope the oven cleaning was noticed and appreciated @camelot1001 😊
Sounds like your DSis has her work cut out @taff
Safe travels @Gers
Good to see you @Nelski and glad you are getting things sorted at DMums
@Topsyturphy nice to hear you have some time off and that DS2 is doing well
Hugs to all the poorlies and have a good day

Morning all.
Bright and sunny here today and I have one load of washing to hang out. We need to go to the bank as DH's card isn't working so that needs sorting out. I also need to get some food shopping so can do that at the same time.
Unfortunately my car is still at the main dealers, in pieces, but they are working on the problem and I'm hopeful of getting it back today. I couldn't go out to my usual practice last night so was a bit fed up about that; ended up doing the ironing instead and then plonked myself in front of the tv. I have lost another half a pound today but we are going out for a postponed (by 2 years) Afternoon Tea, so that won't help the cause. It was a Christmas gift that we couldn't use due to Covid and now we've had to book it by the end of June.
Also had some gel nails done yesterday, as a trial to see how I get on with them. I'm not a great one for things like that but I actually like them and might have them done again later in the year.
Enjoy your day everyone.9 -
Morning All
It was bright and sunny when I got up so the bed has been stripped - just put it out on the line and it looks like it'sgoing to rain. Never mind, it can have a final rinse! Another load to go in when I've had a shower. Bathrooms have been cleaned, will have a hoover round in a bit.
Lovely to have a few days off but I keep thinking it's Saturday! I'll go to the allotment later to plant out some courgettes that are too big for their pots in the greenhouse, may have to cover them as it's still not very warm and quite windy.
Glad you enjoyed the film Gers and Coxy. I don't go to the cinema often but may go to see Top Gun over the weekend.
Hope the exams go well for your DS Coxy. DD isn't back until tonight to appreciate her sparkling oven!
Nice to hear your DS is doing well Topsy.
Lost another 2lb over the last fortnight which makes 10.5lb altogether, another 7lb to go!
Happy Friday, take care. XX9 -
