Confusion about visiting Egypt sharm el sheikh

Options
Evening.

We are going on our first family holiday post pandemic to Sharm.

We have booked with Tui and im getting confused with regards to the entry requirements to visit and hoping you kind people could help.

The Gov Website confirmed there are no restrictions on visiting Egypt, nor do we need a visa for entering Sharm.. and also confirm we will fill out passenger information form before we arrive in egypt..

both Me and and wife are fully vaccinated and have the covid passports (ready and downloaded) we have two children who are unvaccinated 4 (will be turn 5 during the trip) and 9.. do we need to obtain covid passports for these as well?

To also throw a spanner in the works i found a document on the Tui website (linked to an email saying to check entry guides) which confirmed we need to visit the website visitegypt gov eg to obtain QR Codes for entry. i have found no other reference to this online and wondering if this is still the case also?

has any one been to sharm recently with kids.. if so you help to understand this would be brilliant

Thanks in advance

Visit2Egypt.gov.eg is normally to get an e-visa which if you fly into Sharm will only be required if you are going for more than 15 days or intend to leave Sharm (would be a real shame not to leave the area but know most dont). Are you intending to go to the Pyramids or Luxor or anything outside of Sharm?

Under 12s are treated as if they are vaccinated irrespective of their actual status.

To be precise, we (British passport) have visa-free travel to Sinai, but need some kind of visa for the rest of Egypt. Sinai includes the Red Sea resorts as well as the Monastery of Saint Catherine, beside the mountain where Moses is supposed to have been given the law on tablets of stone. A standard excursion is to take a bus tour to the monastery and view its art treasures and ancient buildings; stay in its guest-house and climb the mountain (with a guide) to see dawn from the summit. The region also offers excursions and desert experiences, and there are many trekking trails.

The pyramids are a long way away from there.

Free visa on arrival if you're not planning to leave South Sinai. But if you're planning to go Cairo and see the pyramids, you'll need a visa. The visa can be purchased before travel or on arrival, according to thr FCDO:
