Currys small claims legal name

Hi I had at least 10 times where I had to take time off work for currys to collect a faulty fridge it had a huge impact on my finances. I call ok my act currys to explain but they failed to compensate my loss of earnings.
I had no choice to to proceed to a small claims court. I named currys in the claim but currys replied stating currys are not the legal entity. So what’s happens now can anyone advise before this goes to
hearing. Do I need to change the legal company if so does anyone know what the name is?
Thank you in advance

    If you look on their website and scroll right to the bottom, it gives both names.

    You will have to amend your proceedings as they have to be against the legal name.

    There seems to be a few options.

    Currys is a trading name of Currys Group Limited, 1 Portal Way, London, W3 6RS., registered in England No. 504877, VAT No. 226 659 933.
    Us/our/we" means Currys Retail Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under the number 02142673 with registered office at 1 Portal Way, London W36RS;
    Currys plc (referred to using "We", "Us", "Our", “Currys” or the "Company") is a company registered in England and Wales (Company registration number: 7105905)

    Do you have any paperwork - invoice, receipt, or similar?  Your contract is with whichever company you paid the money to.  These companies often have complex webs of holding companies, which may own a number of different stores.

    The paperwork should also have the company registration number on it.

    With that, you can look them up on the Companies House web site and get their registered address.  Which may bear no resemblance to where their shops are.
    If it sticks, force it.
    If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.

    Where did you buy it from? Online? In store?

    The answer may vary depending on the response
