Will £400 be paid into gas or electric account?

As with the original £200, I think it will be of limited use (short term) for people on pre-pay GAS meters, if all this credit is on their electricity meter, especially if we have a bad (cold/long) winter.
Yes they can put "saved" money on gas that would otherwise go on the leccy...but won't many accounts end up wildly unbalanced??
How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 3.24% of current retirement "pot" (as at end December 2025)0 -
Maybe the vouchers can be put on the gas meter?Sea_Shell said:As with the original £200, I think it will be of limited use (short term) for people on pre-pay GAS meters, if all this credit is on their electricity meter, especially if we have a bad (cold/long) winter.

Maybe you'll have a chance to pick and choose, per voucher, if broken down into smaller chunks?Mstty said:

What of you're not duel fuel, with the same supplier, on a standard credit meter?
Will they allow you to suspend or drastically reduce your DD on your leccy account, to enable you to then increase the dd on your gas?
(Not me personally, just thinking about the ramifications for others)How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 3.24% of current retirement "pot" (as at end December 2025)0
