Do you have problems with near neighbours who overdo the garden bonfire shenanigans that borders on a nuisance. In towns and city’s especially during the summer their should be a ban on such a thing. Is it more acceptable with the other smells you get in the countryside?

Life in the country is different to the town. People dislike townies moving to the country and rewriting the rules.11

Folk in t'country should be just as thoughtful and considerate as townies, and there does come a stage where regular fires clearly can become a nuisance. It really comes down to the purpose of these fires, how often they occur, at what times, and who is affected. Any other neighbours feel the same?
Your council should be able to advise.0 -
Life in a new city conveys its own nuisance odours, mostly the nasty pungent stench of marijuana. No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.2 -

We who live in rural environments don't want to spoil them and prefer to compost rather than burn. Please note - taken from the Forum Rules and amended for my own personal use (with thanks) : It is up to you to investigate, check, double-check and check yet again before you make any decisions or take any action based on any information you glean from any of my posts. Farmers around here often have a massive fire going at the end of the week.
Some of the things that annoy the locals are a bit OTT, like someone moving in and renewing the inside of the house.

Country lass here born & bred ,it's not for everyone & those coming in from town can take ages to adjust.
There aren't many rules but as long as no one uses poisons , can accept wildlife (especially badgers) run off with food bins , deer lay down & just look at you as you're walking the dogs & keep dogs on a lead as farmers don't like their live stock chased & will shoot them if they catch them .
Strange noises at night (it's when the countryside comes alive )
Fires aren't too much of a bother , the smoking dung heap gets a bit iffy sometimes but basically life is a lot slower & no one ever rushes5
