I have a large amount of fencing to preserve, is there a good electric sprayer that can can be recommended for use with a fencing preservative?

What product are you intending to apply? How 'watery' is it?
I can't recommend a leccy sprayer, but wonder if a pump-type would do instead?
I've used the Ronseal jobbie with their normal fence 'life' stuff, and it 'works', but I quickly go over the just-applied finish with a large brush to even it out. It certainly saves a lot of application time, and the wipe with the brush afterwards just takes seconds. Another good thing about spraying instead of brushing, is that you can fire the coating into all the books and crannies, where a brush just won't reach.
A potential drawback is the risk of overspray.1 -
I have a wagner electric sprayer, I used it to spray the inside of our summerhouse, I found it used a lot of paint but in fairness, I probably should have had more patience and practiced more to get better more economical results, but it did the job, as said though, spraying outside does produce overspray so you need to be careful what’s around you ( no cars ect) ideally if you can spray your panels before fitting them would be better..2

Check details of the product you intend to spray. Our neighbour tried spraying a fence preservative from an electric spray (I think the product was Ducksback) and it clogged the sprayhead. There was nothing on the can to say it couldn't be sprayed, but when he looked at the full tech spec on line it did state that.

I seem to be shilling Stuart at ProperDIY quite a lot at the moment. I'm not being paid for this, honest!
