SIPP Provider that Allows Investment in UK Limited Companies with Pension Funds

Hello,

I am an internet marketing business owner with a fairly sizeable SIPP that is uninvested. I read I can use this money to invest in, or buy a UK limited company. My plan is to purchase a revenue generating website and ask the seller to place this website in a UK limited company for me to keep as part of my SIPP. In theory, it is possible, according to a financial advisor I met with recently, but he is not sure what SIPP providers offer this, as he says it is "high risk" and most SIPP providers won't entertain it. It wouldn't be high risk for someone like me, since it is my job to work with these websites on a day to day basis. I find the idea of investing in shares high risk!

Can anyone advise as to what SIPP providers allow investment (or purchase) of UK limited companies with pension funds?

Thanks

Not sure there are any SIPP providers which don't have the option to invest in UK shares, but it sounds as if you are specifically looking for a non-listed company, which could cause problems.

Have you investigated whether a SSAS might be a better option if you want to pursue this route?
Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!

It is considered high risk because you are investing in one company, rather than spreading the risk by investing in hundreds of companies as you would in a fund held in a SIPP.

    It's eggs and baskets.

Great, can anyone recommend a good and cost effective SSAS provider for setup?
