Good credit rating but no fixed address = no loan - advice needed

I've lived on a boat for 15 years and until recently had an official postal address where I was registered with my bank and driving licence etc. The Post Office though has decided to delete it and won't set it up again as they don't consider it a 'proper address'. This has meant that despite a credit rating of 999 (I've checked) - I was refused a Bounceback Loan during Covid and am concerned I won't be able to get any future loans or mortgages. So I'm thinking of setting up my Mum's address as my official residence (she's ok about this) but need to know a) is this ok and b) what are the essentials to register. ie Do I need to do all of these things? Get on the electoral roll, put name on the Council Tax, change my bank address, change my driving licence address, change my credit card address etc etc. Anything else that I should definitely do? Thanks for your help with this.

Your score is never seen by lenders so don't worry about that
If you are not on the electoral roll / of no fixed abode as it were, that is considered a negative on credit records, so having a fixed address is probably a good thing, albeit not ideal if you're lying about your primary place of residence. It will also take time for everything to filter through. Have you not checked on boating forums about what they do for addresses to allow voting, finance etc?0 -
