HSBC - cannot register for online banking.

Recently opened a HSBC Advance account for the switch offer and received the telephone security number yesterday after nearly two weeks.
However every time I try to register online, after choosing username and password there is a slight pause and I get the message that the service is unavailable.
Same online and the mobile app. I'm sure I'm entering everything correctly.

    Finally registered online using Edge and now have to setup a digital secure key using the mobile app before I can login.
    However after logging in I get an error that the app isn't able to send a verification code. I received an sms code fine when registering online.

    Picked up a physical secure key in branch yesterday, very straight forward and only took a few minutes to activate. Fully online now.

    Even have to create a key when transferring money, which is generated from the account number your are sending it to and the amount.

    In case you aren't aware HSBC are changing how we log in, if you want to use the physical secure key you will be limited to online banking only, but if you switch to a digital secure key App & Online banking is possible.

    Thanks for the reply and I have no problem with being limited to online banking as it is not a main account.
    Plus I have received the switching incentive already which is really quick of them.
