Nvl car leasing

  • I will let you know how it goes. The car I wanted they told me they had it in stock, in my colour and style, so I said I would like to go through with it and she asked for a deposit so I put down £1000 and she told me 3-4 weeks delivery. She has contacted me yesterday and gave me a delivery date Thursday 30th which is just over 3 weeks so fingers crossed. I’m pretty sure if it was a scam they still wouldn’t be in business. They have more good reviews than bad just I can’t find much information on them.
    I will keep you posted.
  • I have very bad credit indeed and I wasn’t asked to send over any supporting documents ( bank statements etc ) and my income is just over £1000. I saw a review on Trust Pilot and actually made contact with them to ask about the company. She told me it’s a proper business and actually showed me pictures of her car. She just told me it was a long waiting game.
I hope it all goes well!
  • That sounds positive, I know I’ve not been able to send much information on them either they want me to send £1,500 deposit and I just feel a little nervous incase it doesn’t materialise but on trust pilot they do seem to have some really good reviews and some bad ones. What car is it you’ve ordered? As they’ve told me they have one of mine in stock but will take 4 weeks too.
  • At first I was just finding it difficult is to how I got accepted being so young, with rubbish credit and £1000 income a month. I got told the minimum deposit is £1000. I ordered an Audi A3 and she said it was in stock. I asked why delivery would take 3-4 weeks she said due to road taxing etc. I’ll just wait till Thursday I really hope it comes.
  • They are also on Gov.uk as a registered business so it must be a legit company. They only have 3 bad reviews I think on trust pilot?
  • Like I said I contacted a girl who left a positive review of them and she reassured me which is then when I went through with it. She just said that they had her waiting a long time for her to get her car, they told her 3-4 weeks too but she got it 4 months later she also said it was excuse after excuse and was just a hard time with them. They also pestered her to do a review. But she ended up getting her vehicle which she actually shared pictures of and it’s lovely.
  • Ow that’s positive as I would of liked to contacted people who left good reviews too. Fingers crossed your car will be delivered there’s no reason why not it just makes you cautious with the strange times we’re in and so many scammers out there

Anyone can register a business with Companies House - that gives no indication as to how legitimate they are.

What's to say she's not a relative of the owner, putting up fake reviews to drum up business?
Sorry, call me a cynical old so-and-so, but this thread strikes me as very strange.  Apart from anything else, I struggle to understand why anyone with a poor credit history and a relatively small income would even entertain the idea of splashing out on a brand new car.  Also, how come this company can claim to have cars available with relatively short waiting times, when genuine main dealers are struggling to get hold of stock?
I hope I'm proved wrong, the last thing I'd want is for any of these new posters to lose a sizeable chunk of money to fraudsters.  But it just all sounds very fishy to me.

I agree with Ebe above who said " I struggle to understand why anyone with a poor credit history and a relatively small income would even entertain the idea of splashing out on a brand new car". It does sound extremely fishy.

    What is the monthly payment?

A better plan may be to put that same amount of money into a savings account and in, say, six months or so, buy a used car outright.

Many people on this site (myself included) have been in dire financial straits - some still are - and I think most of us would now advise avoiding companies like this because there's just so much room for fraud. When people have bad credit, companies like NVL prey on them and then people get into more financial trouble.

My motto now is 'if something looks too good to be true, it probably is'. Please be careful.

  • If she was a relative and trying to drum up their business I’m pretty sure she wouldn’t of told me how much of a hard time she had, all the excuses and the long wait she had?
I can splash out on a car if I want, I can afford it so why not?
