a bit of a this and that post so I apologise.
I suffer with Depression and Anxiety and because of some poor coping methods I’m in a fair bit of debt.
I’m with Stepchange and paying a DMP and I know I’m not allowed credit etc. I really want to move Banks. I have a Current account with Barclays but they have behaved poorly…..
I have a Monzo account and one with Chase Bank. Are these Current accounts or how do I make them this way?
Did try and open an account with another Bank but nowhere will give me a proper Current Account or one where I get some Cashback for switching to
I’m in a better financial situation but and have never missed a DMP Payment but nobody seems to be giving me a break! I don’t want credit etc but just the ability to leave a !!!!!! bank and move to a slightly less !!!!!! one would help lol

If your accounts allow you to withdraw cash and male payments, then they're current accounts.1

You can advise the retailers of your new details for the DD. You may need to make manual payments in between.
Or you can ask your chosen bank whether they will switch the DDs for you. This is more usually done on a new account, but they may be able to help.1 -
