Paying for house via chaos with santander.

Hi guys, need advice plrase.buying house. On point of arranging date of contract exchange.
Living with parents.sold mind months ago.cash buyer.
Need to use chaps, in branch.quite a distance.Have not set up phone banking.£289k
Any advice appreciated.
Do you need to make an appointment.at bank with ID.appointment
Passport photo driving licence.
Do monies need paying on the day of exchange to solicitor, or can they be paid earlier, not to hold the exchange up
. Mine's useless!

Your solicitor will advise you when the funds are required by them. For CHAPS you'll need to visit a branch to arrange. Give them a call to clarify what the procedure is.

No, can also be arranged by telephone.

Will phone them today, See if phone is easier or branch.

Update.
Hi guys.phoned santander to send money via Chaps.
2 hours on hold to get through to chaps dept, then sorted in 10 mins.!
Exchange on 31st.

Glad you’ve got it sorted. Absolutely no problem sending it a couple of days early for peace of mind. Just mention to solicitor.
