Santander Zero Credit Card

My wife and I have just been sent 2 new Santander Zero Credit Cards to replace our other ones that have gone out of date.
I checked on line and read that they have been discontinued so we phoned Santander and they confirmed they still valid to use.

They did used to be on the list of best value cards for use abroad but I see they are not mentioned now.
Just seems a bit strange to me. Is anyone else still using them?

They were withdrawn for new customers about a year ago, but those who already had them can continue to use them - this was at least the second time they'd been withdrawn.

I used ours in Mallorca just a few days ago - no issues.

Took cash from Santander ATM in the local branch.

I use mine regularly in the UK and abroad - just used it today no problem. They will continue issuing replacement cards for existing customers, I also have a Starling account that I use abroad too for withdrawing cash with no fees.

At one time there was a Santander Zero debit card account.

Not sure if legacy holders can still have it renewed like the Zero credit card.

Seems unlikely that you'll get any response from OP, who hasn't returned since posting in May, but are you having issues with the main published Santander contact number (0800 9 123 123)?

Thanks but we had a livechat instead with Santander to sort things.

Despite not having used our cards for quite some time we are still on their books, our Zero cards are all active and we'll be getting new ones very soon as ours are due to expire. Job done.

It's a good idea to use your Zero card on a regular(ish) basis - otherwise it may be that Santander will eventually consider it dormant and not renew it.

Yes we're aware of that. Last time was a few months ago....used for purchase of £1.84!

That is definately in the ish ballpark figure !!!
