Buy replacement watch battery’s from Amazon is a real lottery I have tried 4 different sellers from their site and all the battery’s have been flat and probably old stock. Three out of the 4 sellers just don’t answer emails. My advice based on my experience is do not buy button cells  from Amazon.

Remember you are talking about sellers via Amazon marketplace, not buying from Amazon themselves.

Always check who the seller is before ordering.

I usually buy them from a watch shop or Timpsons, most have reputations to uphold so dont have old stock.

No, my latest ones from Amazon, but not their marketplace, were flat.

Over the years I have bought dozens of watch batteries from various eBay sellers for about £1 each and never had a dud.
A man walked into a car showroom.
He said to the salesman, “My wife would like to talk to you about the Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
Salesman said, “We haven't got a Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
The man replied, “You have now mate".

No specific seller. I just search eBay for the battery I want and, provided their feedback is ok, I select the cheapest seller selling a known brand.
